In 2004, after the Master Degree in Electronic Engineering obtained from the University of Florence with a thesis on the Power Lines, my work started in Alcatel ISD (Integration & Service Division), Business Development Dept. During this period I worked mainly on projects and tenders regarding digital divide and LAN/WAN networks, based on wireless technologies like WiFi (Alcatel and Alvarion broadband solutions), Hiperlan (Alvarion BreezeNET solution), WiMAX (Alvarion BreezeMAX solution) and wired technology (Alcatel solution, SDH technology).
During the period 2005/2006, I was involved on Alice Business Cam, the video surveillance project for TI (Telecom Italia). Furthermore, in the same period I have participated to the WiMAX experimentation with the Arezzo Municipality, WIND, Italian Navy (experimentation based on Alvarion BreezeMAX solution and Alvaristar management software).
Since 2006, starting in Alcatel ISD before and in Thales Italia after, I'm fully involved on the Dubai Metro Project (Dubai Light Rail Transport Project), the most advanced driverless Metro in the World. From the begin, I'm in charge of Software documentations redaction (SRS, STD, etc..), Requirement Management (by using DOORS), functional tests on the communication subsystems like Broad Band Radio (WiFi), Narrow Band Radio (TETRA), CCTV, Digital Video & Voice Recorder, Intrusion Alarm System, Multi Service Network, Public Announcement and Address Systems, Telephone System, Software tests on the SCADA software, DataBase configuration.
Since 2011, my work is focused on the System Engineer activities for the European Project Protect Rail, The Railway-Industry Partnership for Integrated of Rail Transport (Seventh Framework Programme). In details, I’m fully involved on the WP 31, 35, 41, 51, 52, 53, 54, 57 and 58.
