I was hired in 1972 to develop the bank new information system based on one of the early IBM 360 mainframe deployed in Italy.
Starting with the design of data bases and telecommunication network I have lead the bank to one of the highest level of reliabilty of an ITC infrastructure in Italy, with a continuous record of accomplished missions to fullfil all the various task of a modern bank (the 35th in Italy and 600th in the world) with 500 employes.
At the end of 1997 I as in charge of 26 direct employes (anlysts, programmers, operators, specialists), many externals suppliers personnel and a 13 billion lire annual budget to serve 600 terminals.
We were one of the earliest in Italy to introduce PC, LANs, Office Automation, Laser Printers, Data Warehouse and Data Mining.
