Nicola Asuni is the founder and president of Tecnick.com s.r.l., a Development Company of Open Source Software that provides IT consulting, implementation services, custom development.
He is a very skilled software engineer and programmer with a large experience in several sectors of Information Technology, including scientific research, designing and building complete hardware/software systems and large Web portals. He has been a freelance programmer and consultant since 1993, and he actively contributed to several popular Open-Source Projects.
He is author of several award-winning open source software projects. Some of these projects (e.g. TCPDF) have been integrated into huge open source projects and installed on millions of servers around the world.
He is also the founder of Technick.net (now splitted across AllPinouts.org and CircuitsArchive.org) website, since 1998 the largest connector and cable pinouts archive on the web.
He is also member and co-founder of Java User Group Sardegna Onlus, and a member of GULCh - Gruppo Utenti Linux Cagliari.
Former sport athlete, in 2003 he has been awarded by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) with the Bronze Medal to Sporting Value, a decoration given to a very few athletes.

I'm one of the founder and actually a councilman of the Java User Group Sardegna Onlus that is a no-profit association composed by local users of the Java™ programming language, created by SUN Microsystems, Inc.
Its activities are focused to promote the knowledge, the utilization and the diffusion of the Java programming language between individuals, sardinian companies and institutions.
