In 1985 I have been programming compilers, device drivers and a kernel debugger in C and/or Assembly, ten years later I wrote from scratch a C++ mail server with 50.000 users.
I experienced life and work in the United States, in Menlo Park and Santa Clara working for Olivetti and Intel on unix and Mach kernel integration and the innards of a RISC workstation.
I have been publishing a monthly column on Java since 1995, and wrote a book on the language.
I play bass serious bass and have also played jazz guitar and classical flute in a trio.
